LumaSense offers the industry's most accurate non contact temperature measurement solutions. The Mikron PhotriX™ pyrometer is the industry's best signal-to-noise ratio in a compact package. Offering the most precise non-contact measurements, PhotriX™ pyrometers are ideally suited for industrial applications requiring closed loop control of thermal processes.

Measurements in many industrial-heating applications require high resolution as well as repeatability. The PhotriX™ system offers unmatched precision and speed made possible by its superior signal-to-noise ratio.

The PhotriX™ uses shorter shorter wavelength detectors that minimize the effect of emissivity errors and improve accuracy of the measurements. The PhotriX™ also offers ambient temperature compensation to combat drift for unmatched longterm stability and reproducibility for long process cycle applications like crystal growth.

A standard PhotriX™ system includes the sensor electronics with anti-reflective coated lens, the communication interface module (CIM), RS-232 interface cable, universal power supply and the TemperaSure™ data acquisition and graphing interface software.

PhotriX Fixed Lens Configuration

The superior performance of the PhotriX Series offered in a conventional lens configuration. This configuration is for viewing a target from a distance or through a window/viewport and is used in advanced materials, solar, crystal growing and semiconductor applications. Available in 5 different near infrared spectral responses (650nm, 880nm, 900nm, 1550nm and 700-1650nm) with temperatures measured between 65 °C and 2600 °C. Available accessories include a protective cooling jacket with air purging for industrial installations.

PhotriX Direct Sapphire Lightpipe Configuration

Single-crystal sapphire is used for the infrared collection optics (also known as a “lightpipe”) to maximize the performance advantages of our most accurate pyrometer, the PhotriX Series non-contact IR thermometer. The sapphire lightpipe offers the most efficient optical performance, suitable for aggressive chemical environments and is commonly used in vacuum process chambers and reactors. Available in 5 different near infrared spectral responses (650nm, 880nm, 900nm, 1550nm and 700-1650nm) with temperatures measured between 30 °C and 1300 °C.

PhotriX with Fiber Optics connecting to Remote Fixed Focus Lens

Our most accurate pyrometer configured with a flexible fiber optic cable connecting the instrumentation to a remote, fixed focus lens. This configuration is ideal for applications where the environment near the measurement is unfriendly to the electronic instrumentation, for example processes using induction heating. Available in 4 different near infrared spectral responses (880nm, 900nm, 1550nm and 700-1650nm) with temperatures measured between 65 °C and 2600 °C.

PhotriX with Fiber Optics connecting to Sapphire Lightpipe

Our most accurate pyrometer configured with a flexible fiber optic cable connecting the instrumentation to a remote, sapphire lightpipe. This configuration is ideal for induction heating processes requiring high accuracy and restricted optical access (e.g., vacuum process or narrow field of view). Available in 4 different near infrared spectral responses (880nm, 900nm, 1550nm and 700-1650nm) with temperatures measured between 65 °C and 2600 °C.
