Vivek Joshi, Founder and CEO
Vivek brings significant leadership experience to LumaSense Technologies. He is an executive with experience in various industries, spanning private equity, high technology, diversified industrial manufacturing and healthcare. Most recently, Vivek was an Operating Partner at Shah Capital Partners and Senior Vice President of Marketing for Sun Services, a $3.6 billion division of Sun Microsystems. He also served at Webvan as Vice-President of Program Operations, at GE Transportation as General Manager, Off Highway/Transit Systems, GE Corporate as Manager of Corporate Initiatives; Management Consulting with Booz Allen & Hamilton and operational experiences with Johnson & Johnson. Vivek has an M.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Mumbai.


Matt Au, Chief Financial Officer
Matt has over 20 years of finance and accounting experience with high-growth, multi-national corporations. His scope of responsibilities have spanned all finance and accounting functions, including accounting, FP&A, tax, treasury, international finance, and procurement. Matt has served as the Vice President, Corporate Controller at KLA-Tencor and as the Vice President of Finance for Gilead Sciences. Most recently, Matt was the Vice President of Operations Finance at Tesla Motors. Matt holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance from UC Berkeley and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.


Joyce Irby, Senior Director, People
Joyce is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) with over 20 years of experience energetically designing and implementing HR strategies for organizations across multiple industries in both the private and public sectors. Her experience ranges from start-up and spin-offs to very large organizations in high-tech, manufacturing, education, healthcare, and medical services. Her employers and clients have included Siemens/OSRAM, Stanford University, Tenet Healthcare, Teledyne Technologies, Inc. and Philips. She holds a BA in Industrial Psychology from Canisius College and a MA in English from Georgetown University. Joyce is an Adjunct Professor of human resources management at Menlo College in Atherton, CA.


Johannes Overhues, Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing
Johannes brings extensive industrial frontline sales and sales management experience and most recently has served as Managing Director for LumaSense Technologies EMEA. Previously, Johannes served as the Continental European Sales Manager for MKS Instruments successfully restructuring local sales and marketing in a multi-industrial, multi-channel market. Before that, he was with GEA successfully driving small and large scale businesses. Prior to that, he served as the District Sales Manager for Ultrafilter (now Donaldson Filtration Systems) achieving outstanding results in purposely executing on system and solution selling as well as establishing sustainable field services. Johannes holds a business degree and a graduate degree in Process Engineering and Environmental Technology from University of Applied Science, Offenburg, Germany.


Brett Sargent, Vice President/General Manager, Products
Brett has over 20 years of experience working in various leadership roles in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality and global sales with DuPont, Lockheed Martin, Exelon Nuclear and General Electric, where he was Global Sales Leader for the GE Energy T&D Products division. Brett holds a BS in Electrical Engineer from Widener University, an MS in Nuclear Engineer from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Georgia State University.


Mark Waters, Director, Quality and Regulatory Affairs
Mark brings over 30 years of technology industry experience including 20 years in Silicon Valley working in small start-ups and large corporations. During his career he has held global management roles in quality, development engineering, operations and supply management. Mark has also been awarded 14 electro-mechanical and thermal patents for his work at Sun Microsystems and Amp Incorporated. Mark received his Mechanical Engineering education at Birkenhead College of Technology, England.
