Gas Monitoring

With the INNOVA range of Photoacoustic Gas Monitors based on the Infra-red (IR) Photoacoustic Spectroscopy (PAS) and Magneto Acoustic (MA) technology you are able to detect a wide range of gases with very low detection limit (PPB range) and at the same time with a very high dynamic range from 10.000 to 100.000 of the actual detection limit.

An optical filter is selected based on the type of gases, which are to be measured, and the instrument is calibrated in our laboratory for the chosen gases. The Photoacoustic Field Gas-Monitor - INNOVA 1412,  Photoacoustic Multi-gas Monitor - INNOVA 1314 and Fermentation Monitor - INNOVA 1313 will cross compensate for interfering gases and water vapour interference.


Ventilation and Air Exchange Measurements

Air exchange measurements, flow in ducts, ventilation efficiency and age of air are some of the parameters easily measured with the Photoacoustic Field Gas-Monitor - INNOVA 1412, Multipoint Sampler and Doser - INNOVA 1303 and the Application Software - INNOVA 7620. The system can sample and dose a tracer-gas in up to twelve different points when performing ventilation measurements.

A tracer-gas, such as Sulphur Hexa Flouride ( SF6 ), Freon 134a, Freon 152 or Nitrous Oxide ( N2O ), is used to "mark" the air. Measurements of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is also an important application for detection of Carbon Dioxide ( CO2 ), Carbon Mono oxide ( CO) and Volatile Organic Compounds ( VOC ).


Thermal Comfort Analysis

Thermal Comfort and Heat Stress are influenced by other parameters than just the air temperature. Our instrumentation for evaluation of thermal comfort and heat stress are in compliance with ISO 7726, ISO 7730, ISO 7933 and ISO 7243, and measures air temperature, surface temperature, plane radiant temperature, air velocity and humidity by using different types of transducers.

Common for all transducers are high precision and a very fast response time. Connected to a PC the Thermal Comfort Datalogger - INNOVA 1221 and the Application Software - INNOVA 7701 stores all measured date and calculates indices such as the PMV and PPD index based on measurements of equivalent temperature or operative temperature.
